Not so. He switched from fighting the communists in Vietnam to supporting them via the Hanoi Lobby protest movement.
He tried to stop the freedomfighters of Nicaragua from taking down Ortega’s Sandinista dictatorship.
He abandoned American POWS/MIAs in SE Asia in 1994-95 when he was making nice with Hanoi.
Kerry has always been a “switch hitter”.
Probably a “switch hitter” in more ways than one.
