No, there are not any better phones out there. Apple is the top.
After 7 years w/ a dinosaur cellphone, I bought a Samsung Galaxy 4 just last week.
I'm still sliding up the learning curve but so far, I'm really impressed.
How is an Apple better?

I think you’re being sarcastic, but hard to tell. At any rate, there are better phones than iphones, particularly when you factor in the cost of the phone and related services. Apple never cornered the market on phones even though they want people to believe they did.
