Never used iCloud because I knew the Feds had instant access to it and if they did it meant it wouldn’t be hard for hackers to break into the accounts. Only back up info n keep it offline.
Only use cloud backup systems that use Pre-Internet Encryption (PIE) and say up front that they don’t have the ability to recover your files without your password. Everything else is just pretty much waiting for the world to see.
