The idea of a bunch of well-dressed gangsters taking out the jihadists at the next toll booth might be appealing, but it’s fantasy. Mobsters aren’t trained in the desert from the time they can walk to fight until death for a demonic god.
The mob would just as soon do business with them than dare to take them on.
Besides, a few cells of nondescript idiot Muslims can wreak havoc, (DC snipers), lone wolf suicide bombers etc.
The mob can’t deal with that stuff, when there is no opposing boss to take out, no families to threaten, no finances involved, just nothing to grab onto, as the tourist industry dies at their businesses.
They are good at shaking down a guy with 3-4 dry cleaning businesses.
Isis would crucify the bunch of them, then tell the rest of those good Catholics to switch to Islam in 5 minutes or get nailed up
Since ISIS would intend to end the Mob’s business with extreme prejudice, the Mob would have no qualms about whacking anyone necessary to ensure it stops and doesn’t happen again.
