My elder brother sold used cars. He didn't make much because he was honest and wouldn't send out a car which wasn't roadworthy. Some cars people brought in were so bad he told them they needed "radiator cap jobs", IOW, take off the radiator cap and drive a whole new car underneath. Junk everything else.
