Thank God my wife and I are moving from Fairfield CA to Anchorage next month! California’s motto “We’re not happy unless you’re not happy” rings true. This state can kiss both cheeks!
Boy will the low information drivers be surprised come 1/1/15.
It will just mean that the illegals will pay more to fuel their beater automobiles. The Jobs are not moving to the barrios.
Better to use the rail money for costal water desalinization plants.

Lofos will direct their anger at the gas stations. They are too stupid to put the blame where it belongs, liberals.
feel bad for conservatives - the few - that live there, but excepting them, it couldn’t happen to a better bunch of libtards.
you can tell when dems are lying about what they like and don’t.
article admits they are raising taxes to deter behavior they don’t like.
conversely they subsidize/cut taxes/won’t tax things they like.
they want abortion “rare”? where are the punitive taxes on it to discourage it? why subsidize it if you want it to be rare? they lie.
cigarettes? punitive taxes. decreased smoking.
sugar? punitive taxes, banned certin size drinks.
sex btwn minors? free condoms at school, free birth control for girls.
less people dependent on govt with jobs? not with all the welfare given out and all the votes to extend benefits forever.
theywant strong families intact? mairriage penalty tax, plus most bennies they give out require no man in the house.
the list is endless.
but you know they lie when they say they are for something but they are taxing tye crap out of it b/c that’s what they do to something they really don’t like to reduce behavior they hate.
Agenda 21.
It will be interesting to see California get its own special color on the GasBuddy gas price “Heat Map” come January. It’s already almost solid red as is Washington and Oregon.
These politicians make me sick. They're funneling revenue from the increased gas tax to build low-income housing near mass-transit hubs, and for a high-speed train. The train will service few, mostly a few rich people. It doesn't go where the people are, meaning people will have to drive to get to and from the train. Meaning lots of gas gets used. We don't need the train!
The reason housing is expensive is because it's near the jobs. People need their cars to get there. The solution is not to build more low-income housing, the solution is to create more jobs and create them where the people live. If they can't move the jobs to the barrios, then tough. Let the free market handle it. Where jobs exist, people will find a way to get to them without political intervention. Silly to raise gas taxes and make it harder to get to the jobs.
