Actually, whether Stern or his supporter meant it to be, they did do a service by highlighting the stupidity, perfidy, and down-right lack of objectivity of the MSM with this prank.

Actually I think what Howard Stern and his staff are doing here is constructive and valuable to our society. They are exposing our media as the jokes that they are and forcing them to do a better job vetting their sources as opposed to just putting any crackpot on the air just so they can "scoop" their rivals.
I also find it amusing that the Howard Stern show is so much more professional and well run than CNN, MSNBC, etc.
