MOSCOW/ NOVOAZOVSK Ukraine (Reuters) - On Monday, a resident of Novoazovsk in south-eastern Ukraine said she saw a column of armored vehicles approach the town and start shooting.
"It all started at 8:00 this morning, tanks appeared, no fewer than seven of them," the woman, who gave her name only as Lyudmila, told Reuters by telephone. "Right now I can hear rumbling, explosions ... the residents are hiding."
In Kiev later that morning, Ukrainian officials said the column was an incursion by Russian troops which it alleges are fighting alongside pro-Moscow separatists, a claim Russia quickly dismissed as disinformation.
That is a now-familiar ritual: the five-month conflict over eastern Ukraine is one of claim and counter-claim by opposing sides, often centering on what role Russia is playing. With the battlefield mostly too dangerous for reporters to safely move around, verifying who is doing what is usually impossible.

However, the armored column that appeared on Monday in the far south-eastern corner of Ukraine, where it abuts the Russian border, was unusual because the spot was far removed from any territory held by the separatists.
It was therefore difficult to see how the column could have appeared in Ukraine without having come across the Russian border, unless it made an amphibious landing from the nearby Azov Sea which is improbable given the number of heavy vehicles witnesses said they saw.
A Reuters reporter was able to observe the situation in the area where the column was seen, first at the start of August and then most recently on Sunday afternoon, a few hours before the first sightings of the column were reported.
Those observations, combined with interviews with rebel leaders, Ukrainian soldiers, and other research, indicated two things.

1. no separatist troops within 20 miles for weeks, and
2. area under artillery fire from beyond the separatists' range.
Clearly, the people reporting it are the problem.
When are the rest of the world going to stop pretending that Russia isn’t doing this?
....”When are the rest of the world going to stop pretending that Russia isnt doing this?”.....
Maybe as soon as the world identifies the US as running Kiev?
This is so far outside of Russia and US and still has many other players in this ballpark.
When the Russians march through the Brandenburg Gate again.
Ukraine should govern Ukraine, not Moscow or phantom non-existent Americans
might give them a flicker in the old noggin, lol
Well that was, after all, what Maidan was about when it first began to organize...until highjacked.... Mrs. Nuland spoke about 5 BILLION spent on the Ukraine intervention to manufacture regime change in Ukraine....The louder the Obama administration declares that it isn't meddling in the affairs of the Ukraine, the more certain you can be that it is, was and will be.
And long before the election she met with Poroshenko
You might do some homework in the history of the US operations for Ukraine.....here is just one of many reporting and known...

so?
I guess there are no pics of Putin shaking hands with the Ambassador or Obama or other dignitaries. I guess he must be their puppet, huh?
US officials were coordinating their actions on how to install a puppet government in Ukraine from the beginning..... They agreed to nominate Batkyvshchina Party leader Arseniy Yatseniuk as Deputy Prime Minister,..... to bench Udar Party leader Vitaly Klitschko off the game for a while .....and to discredit neo-Nazi Svoboda party chief Oleh Tiahnybok as Yanukovychs project.
Then Mrs. Nuland informed the US Ambassador that the Washingtons hand by the UN Secretary General, Under-Secretary for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman had already instructed Ban Ki-moon to send his special envoy to Kyiv this week to glue the things......
Touching the European role in managing Ukraines political crisis, she was matchlessly elegant: Fuck the EU.

War? What war? There’s no war here, folks, move along, nothing to see here....
The column isn’t that “mysterious”. At least not to anyone paying attention.
I noted a week ago that the front south of Donetsk was in danger of collapsing, and of several UK units being trapped, yet again.

Several maps over the last several days have shown rebel forces moving south along the border.
When I warned a few days ago that Amvrosiivka was in danger of being hit, I was called a “Russkie”, and a Putin propagandist.
Reports are still vague, but it now appears that Amvro is surrounded (UK’s have a BIG depot there), and Mariupol is being threatened from two directions.
Hopefully they can stop the Russians from taking Mariupol.
They need to keep good control of the M-14 highway.
If the US and EU had brains - instead of trade wars, they would have sent some drones so the Ukrainians can keep track of the Russian armored units.
Russians attacking Amvrosiika makes perfect sense. They want to collapse that Ukranian pocket that could threaten to cut off their Donetsk hold.
“Ukraine should govern Ukraine, not Moscow or phantom non-existent Americans”
Fine...
But first you must define “Ukraine”. What is it, actually? Does it include Bessarabia?
Hungarian Ruthenia?
The Polish areas in the north?
Crimea, which wasn’t “part” of Ukraine until Brezhnev gifted it in 1954?
The Cossack Hetmanate?
What is “Ukraine”, exactly?
The site also says a Russian Mi-24 helicopter attack killed 4 border guards just 6 hours ago.
1 hour ago.... Sedovo burning
