Interesting....glad your home withstood the quake as you hoped.....what did the flashes look like?

It looked like lightning flashes high up into the sky, flickering and pulsating. I thought the earthquake was producing lightning. Other strange thoughts of nukes going off ( just for a split second).

I saw the green lights this time and the other big one about 15 years ago and the quote minor one earlier this year. The first time, several of my family members kidded me until other family members, neighbors and friends who saw the green flashes confirmed what I saw.

Apparently, about 10-15% of us see these green lights during the severe earthquakes.

The theory is as the ground rolls through and across the land, away from the epicenter, that movement creates a lot of static electricity. Then, the electricity escapes and causes the green flashes that a few of us see.

In the big one about 15 years ago, a couple of pilots were in a helicopter and saw the earth moving like waves in the ocean. One of the pilots saw the green flashes and the other didn’t.
