In the 1940’s there was a big bandleader named Dolph Williams.

The actor Adolphe Menjou kept his name throughout his carreer.

But I swear there was a supervisor in the USAR maintenance shop system named Adolph Williams. No one dared address him as other than “Mr. Williams” not even his fellow supervisors.
