Honestly, I find that hard to believe. I think lot of employers say that to create the illusion we need to import cheap labor.
I’ve been in several related technical fields in the last few decades. It’s not just entry level; mid-level and high-level technicians and managers have very low self-expectations and careless attitudes, not to mention general illiteracy.
Entry-level employees rarely want to show up every day and simply won’t leave their smartphones alone.
That said, the truth is that bringing in millions of Third-Worlders isn’t going to solve the problem, as they quickly learn that government handouts are easier than doing a job. And they know they can vote themselves an easier life.
