I was wondering why he seemed so stoic. I didn’t watch the Video but the pictures and his statements almost make it seem he was a willing participant in this event. Sort of as if this were voluntary on his part.
Reading this column tends to make that scenario a bit more plausible.
Lie down with dogs, wake up with fleas.
... and the snake said, “because I’m a snake!”
This morning on Mike Gallagher’s radio show, he played the statement made by Foley right before he was beheaded, and Mike was saying how HEROIC he was, but when I heard it, it did NOT sound Coerced. He sounded like he DID HATE BEING an AMERICAN!!!
If we did those things, we would ALL HATE AMERICANS!!
yea, he was told the “Syrian opposition” was a bunch of “moderates”
Same with Berg

Journalist James Foley Speaks at Medill (Journalism School) in 2011
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3SKu0M_g_4
You can watch him for an hour. He was captured earlier at Benghazi, but released. He admits at the beginning of the video that he was a liberal and anti-war. But it seems he changed his mind once captured at Benghazi.
I think I’d try that for enough money...
Given his radicalism and agenda, what I wonder is if he converted to Islam while in captivity, became a Jihadi extremist, and offered himself as a willing martyr for allah (piss be upon him).
Thanks for the ping. You are so right, and they obviously will spare no mercy for their dhimmi sympathizers. In fact, they’ll probably kill them first.
Here is an archive of Foley’s articles at the Global Post. Required reading for those who have been so quick to judge.

I would also suggest anyone dancing on his corpse read the following:
http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/afghanistan/100917/location-firefight-kunar-province.
A few excerpts:
“....It always amazes me how brave these guys are. But Im a civilian with no previous military experience. Not only are these guys used to taking fire several times a week, they have leaders soldiers who have had more than one deployment and performed under many horrific, mind-boggling conditions. One yell or decisive action from such a leader can make all the difference in how the younger soldiers act and ultimately ensure the safety of the entire patrol....”
“....It usually takes one patrol for the soldiers to start talking to you. I’ve never had anyone give me any trouble beyond some joking, probably because I try to go out on every patrol I can, as most embedded reporters do. Soldiers are remarkably candid. They’ll usually tell you about bad things that have happened totally unprompted. They don’t forget you’re a reporter, it’s just they see you as a person who’s interested in what they do. And in a war zone that’s infectious.
I find I often have trouble leaving a unit even if I spend only a week with them. These guys would easily risk their own lives to save mine. They are mostly young kids compared to me, and they share everything from sweets they got from their mom to swapping photos and videos....”
It is important to remember that nature often doesnt kill you because it cant. It wants to and it will if given the chance.
...didn’t your second sentence negate your first...?
I would also suggest anyone dancing on his corpse read the following:
...no dancing on his corpse by me...I find it repulsive that they would kill anyone in this manner, regardless of political credentials...
Seeing some of the comments here, I want to throw up. “A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing,” and I think the corpse-jumpers have just a tad of information, and no clue as to the complete picture.
Many posters tend to be hit and run. You might wish to repost, and individually tag the aforementioned corpse desecrators.
Thanks SeekAndFind.
I was wondering that to, I haven’t watched the video, did he try to escape or did he just go willingly?
