Horowitz: On Ferguson, Libertarians Playing With Fire
Breitbart.com ^ | August 18, 2014 | Daniel Horowitz

Posted on 08/18/2014 3:58:32 AM PDT by Biggirl

As Congress remains in a protracted recess for another three weeks and the political news recedes from the headlines, it didn’t take long for the nonpolitical event surrounding the unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, to become political. After all, everything in this day and age is ultimately politicized.

Reporters were detained and released. It’s hard to find any story without spin. How is the same detained and released reporter being treated by the protestors?

http://www.politico.com/story/2014/08/ferguson-reporters-media-110080.html

The Washington Post’s Wesley Lowery reported on Twitter that one looter “just threatened to pull knife” on him and another reporter outside a liquor store that was being cleaned of inventory.

POLITICO tried to approach the same liquor store using an iPhone to record the mayhem when we were physically approached by a man who said: “Get that police s—t out of here. … This ain’t no show.”

That doesn’t mean there wouldn’t be information about a complaint by McD’s.

There was no riot in McDonalds.

You're missing the obvious and glaring truth that the Media was there to stoke the riots into a monstrous fire.

No, Republicans hate the almost universal Left-wing, Marxist bent of the press, as well as, their inability to tell the truth.

Freedom of the Press is great.

Distorting the news to fit a political agenda is what incenses Republicans about the Press.

You have to differentiate between news and opinion.

And as they said in the past about the right wing media, there were too many George Wills and not enough Bob Novaks.

Or to put it another way, the right wing doesn't do a lot of news reporting but is heavy on opinion.

Or to put it another way, there was no right wing media in Ferguson reporting on events there

You're an idiot.

The Left Wing, or so-called Main-Stream Media is nothing but Opinion, that squeezed every bit of inconvenient truth out of the news.

You have a much better chance of getting something objective, in terms of news, from the right-wing.

How can you get news from right wing media if they weren't even there in Ferguson?

Wouldn't you have felt better if Fox News had sent out a camera crew

I think this is a topic where the libertarians and conservatives are on the same page, even though Horowitz tries to interpret Rand Paul's remarks in a way so as to suggest they aren't.

Sen. Cruz summed up the situation well.
