IMO and as much as I praise the work of the National Guard, they are NOT the people that should be subject to controlling peace in Ferguson. Knowing a few guard people, to my understanding, many of them have enlisted to take advantage of getting school loans or as supplementary income.

First, they are NOT trained for the type activity going on in Ferguson, MO. UNLESS, they are ALLOWED to use the type training many do receive, which is to KILL, they will only be there as figure heads. BUT WAIT, remember not ALL of them have been trained in such skill as most have been trained in logistics, and support rolls.

Second, assuming that have been trained to kill, how many of those guard folks will actually be ARMED WITH REAL BULLETS? My guess would be not many if ANY.

Third, my guess is they will NEVER be given the “Shoot to Kill” order.

Best leave the job to those who have been properly trained for this type activity which ARE the police and State Troopers.

Completely agree!

Maybe have the guard backing up the police. If they are not careful, they are going to get another bro shot and then all hell is going to break loose all over the US.

Or, worse, some completely innocent young guard gal will get shot and killed.( Then EVERYBODY’s pissed not just the brothers!

Next thing you know we’re talking armed to the teeth Marines like happened in LA. And, lots of bodies!

I don’t know the specifics about these guys, but I know that in the Rodney King riot, everyone they called up had riot training, and each of them had to sign a document acknowledging they had it.

There was a multi-step protocol regarding weapons, that started with rifle on sling, magazine in pouch and ran to rifle at port arms, magazine in weapon, round in chamber. The choice of which exact step the troops were on was usually made by the on-scene commander. The sound of a squad suddenly chambering a round proved to a useful deterrent.
