Try telling that to the Southern aristocrats who first wanted to ape feudal Europe by importing slaves they wouldn’t have to pay and then wanted to bring them in boatload after boatload. Ticks me off really. All of these idiots bring them in, then try to split the nation, then start a war as a result over it, so now we have to deal with the consequences of how to deal with their descendants. Oh, throw in the half a million dead and that was apparently all in vain because of these ingrates.

Maybe Lincoln should have just let them go.

I guarantee you that when slavery was over the Africans in the Confederacy would have been repatriated back to their homeland.
