Great points but you forgot something important: only American blacks can't seem to make it here. Blacks from many other places, the Caribbean and several African countries come here, get educated, work hard, obey the law and are extremely successful.
The civil rights movement was hijacked by Communists in the guise of the New Left. The Black Panthers, the Angela Davis's, Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons have all exploited race for both monetary and ideological reasons. LBJ, the world's worst sonofabitch -- curse his memory! -- created and made into a permanent entitlement the racial animosity we've seen played out over and over. Now, with Obama and Holder giving tacit approval for unlawful, anarchic race hatred and violence, push is coming to shove.
