Russert often stayed on an intellectual level that dealt with principles... even when they were liberal - even when they were presented as nitty gritty. But it was almost never personal - never just raw contempt for conservatives.
Also Russent sometimes pulled his punches because he sensed we were humans with feelings... not unlike himself. That's odd for a liberal. That said, like you - after a few weeks I'll probably be gone too... Liberals can have one more show to prop them up... which is fine.

On radio there is no visual distraction to get in the way of what goes in the ears. So, the progresso-commie-liberal contempt cannot be obfuscated. They need some stunning grey hair to keep us peons distracted while they ply us with their ideas.
They have a bigger problem than just David Gregory. They think it is just the messenger and not the message.
