When the roits of 68 hit Hartford, they burned the local (north end) Stop & Shop. The only supermarket in the area for the longest time was Bravo (a high priced store). The other parts of Hartford got new supermarkets, but until recently the north end never had a supermarket.
Now, the area is gentrifying, so Shop Rite is looking to open a store there.
