A new round of looting and tense standoffs with pOlice ended early Saturday with no major clashes as the number of protesters gradually dwindled and pOlice retreated from the streets in a drizzling rain.
“This is wonderful. This is what should have happened a long time ago,” Robert Powell, 42, said as he watched looters during the night hop through the shattered glass door of a meat market.
He dismissed the looters as "suburban nerds" likely to get busted. But after years of living in a town in which he said African American men are singled out for harsh treatment by the pOlice, he shared the looters’ frustration.
He gestured to surrounding businesses, whose fluorescent lights were now shattered, their parking lots strewn with broken bottles.
"They support these pOlice, give them free food. People just got tired of it," he said.
Powell blamed the Ferguson pOlice chief's handling of information about Brown released Friday for setting off the unrest.

It never ceases to amaze me how 12% of the population can be responsible for 99% of society’s problems.
One of my middle school students went off on how illegals should be allowed to cross the border anytime they wished and have whatever freebies they wanted. I asked:
Do you have doors on your house?
Yes.

So, you lock your doors to keep people who don't belong there out.

The other students didn't say a word during all this but smiled and let her tie herself into knots.

IIRC, it was Spike Lee who was complaining not long ago about his old neighborhood getting gentrified. Funny, he lives in a mansion by Central Park just off Madison Ave.

There are no major grocery stores in the immediate area, so your black brothers & sisters in LA must go a distance to get their supplies.
You in Ferguson will soon have the same problem....only it rarely snows in LA.
