I'm not buying that -- from hour one the press was asking the police for answers that they were perfectly able to answer from the start and which would have quelled the situation.

Given a hostile media, if you are not 100%, the media will seize the 1% you are mistaken on, and spin that to discredit everything else you said. You have to be 100% right in every part of your statement.
