A Travis County grand jury Friday indicted Gov. Rick Perry on two charges related to his effort last year to force District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg to resign after her drunken driving arrest.

Indeed.
This world is getting pretty dark when being the most wicked is considered the chief hope.
Texas politics. Dems do this all the time.
this is a crackup. Galpal won’t resign over ethics issues and she sues Perry for ethics issues.
This is a rerun of the legal lynching of Tom DeLay. Democrats can always find a Grand Jury of their peers to indict Republicans in Austin. Most cities would be embarrassed that their old lesbian lush District Attorney was picked up driving drunk, served time in jail...and kept her job. But this is Austin that we’re talking about, and they have no shame.
Is this a different County from the one that indicted Tom Delay?
They should move the state Capitol further west and leave Austin to the hippies and the potheads.
It shows they fear Perry. Plus, you can indict a melon with a grand jury. They’re only shown the prosecutors side.
I like this. It means a Perry/Walker ticket will have two Governors who’ve been abused by Democrat prosecutor’s persecutions. It’s just gravy for the roast in 2016.
for sure.
Same. After 3 tries.
He should move quickly for dismissal or a verdict...
DeLay was the first thing that came to my mind as well.
Years down the road...they will say...”Never mind”. But no one will know or care.
You are so correct about Austin. There was a time I loved to visit the place. Beautiful, slow pace, great music. Today I would like to relocate the whole area to Cali. Austin would fit right in. (No offense to any Cali Freepers.)
DeLay tried that and it took almost ten years..
Austin IS Ithaca on steroids.
Austin is ‘rat infested..
Austin != Texas
What are the current rpms of Mr. Travis?

Gov. Rick Perry indicted for abuse of power for carrying out threat to veto prosecutors’ funds
Some are taking this seriously but it’s a preposterous one. Seems to me most people will not believe a governor can be properly indicted for exercising or threatening to exercise his legal powers.
Especially when it involved threatening to veto the budget of a fat slob drunk.
