If it goes to trail, and these inconsistent wit statements are dissected and proved false, they’ll claim the cop lied, and all the defense attorneys are lying...
If the statement taken from the cop matches physical scene evidence, he’s good to go.... But it won’t please the mob...
I am smirking because you make the assumption the the D.A. will convene a Grand Jury and that said Grand Jury will move this case to trial. If the investigation shows there was no crime committed, there will be no charges... and... well... we’ll see.
