MOSCOW—Ukrainian artillery destroyed a large part of a column of armored vehicles that had been seen entering Ukraine from Russia, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said Friday.
Ukraine, backed by Western capitals, has for weeks accused Russia of sending men and heavy weapons to pro-Russia rebels that hold several towns and cities in Ukraine's east.

Putin’s stupid thugs thought that Eastern Ukraine would all support them but it didn’t happen. It won’t happen if Russians invade either. The Russians will be sitting ducks just like the “Ukrainian rebels” have been. They will be encircled in the cities, starved out and sieged. Then they will run back to Russia with their tails between their legs, just like Comrade Strelkov, and just like the Red Army fled Afghanistan in humiliation and defeat.
Yanukovich ran for president promising European Union integration. Probably figured he will get the under 50 vote this way and over 50 is going to vote as they always did (for him) regardless of the election promises.
