Two British newspapers are reporting that a column of Russian military vehicles has crossed into Ukraine separately from a convoy of some 250 Russian trucks that Moscow says is carrying humanitarian aid.
Correspondents for The Guardian and The Telegraph reported witnessing the military convoy crossing the border near the Ukrainian city of Donetsk after nightfall on August 14.
The column of about 23 armored personnel carriers was supported by logistics vehicles and used a dirt road to cross the border through a gap in a barbed-wire fence, The Guardian reported.
The crossing occurred around 10 p.m. local time, "The Telegraph" reported.
Ukraine and Western governments have voiced concerns that Russia could use the purported "aid" convoy for a military incursion into eastern Ukraine, where pro-Russian separatists are battling federal forces.
Obama is at the Hamptons
Vlad’s Russia. Neighbors from hell.
Another report says there at least 9 (Russian) tanks on the highway too
The idiots who elected Obama and then went back to playing their x-boxes or watching the Kardashians are the problem! Btw I am in this generation.
Putin talked nice to the EU all day Thursday and after sundown sent his military convoy to aid [rearm] the separatists. These separatists are the same terrorists who used a Russian AA missile to down that airliner.
I bet this is only a part of a bigger plan Putin has worked out—what ever happens—it will happen quickly. This is an opening gambit—Putins Knights and Bishops are ready to strike the Ukrainians hard—with another unseen force ready to hit Keiv. It will be over in a week.
