I know what you mean....some of us have the energy of younger people and don’t want to sit down and do nothing...lol Even if we are able to do that.
Of course there are lots of opportunities for self employment, but in general... older workers are not wanted in today’s markets. There is so much competition for jobs that companies want to train someone, who will be there for the long haul.
I guess now it’s about finding a need and meeting it, that is the best way to earn money...off the grid... so to speak. That would depend on a man’s talents, say he is a good handyman, those are always needed. Older women, who are single/widowed/divorce are always looking for someone who can do fix things, or are flexible like an assistant to drive them places or pick up stuff....and many pay very well.
