One of the officers is providing cover. As if they were in Afghanistan or Iraq.

Sniping at cops would not be totally unexpected in a riot situation. Cover is like insurance; you have it and hope you don't need it.

It’s ridiculous and overkill. Like I said if a mob of looters came towards them, then that cop would be in full retreat.
