The military leader of pro-Russian rebels in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk, Igor Girkin - known as Strelkov - has resigned.
Alexander Borodai, the former PM of the self-declared Donetsk People's Republic, confirmed the news but denied reports Mr Strelkov had been wounded.

Typical. The Ukrainians (and our government) use propaganda, so we must believe the propaganda of the other side.
No, I don’t trust any government. They all lie, and I don’t believe that in these complicated foreign conflicts there are good guys and bad guys. Americans need to stop watching old John Wayne movies and look at the history of these places before we jump on a bandwagon.
Ok, so consider your logic—they are all “bad guys.” So why favor one over the other?
Reuters reported that the annexation of Crimea has already cost Russia a trillion rubles.
I’m not favoring either side. It’s none of our business. Let Europe handle it. They are closer, know what is going on. The US has enough problems with our horrible debt and the invasion on our border. If we don’t take care of those matters, there won’t be any US power to use.
Noted. You don’t have a problem with one of your neighbors gobbling-up pieces of your other neighbors’ property. You’ll just get involved when he gobbles-up some of your own.
Yes, I have problems with Mexico and Central America gobbling up the US. Maybe I don’t know my geography, but last time I checked the Ukraine was hardly our neighbor.
Well again, logic . . . if you have a problem with Mexico and Central America gobbling-up pieces of the U.S., why wouldn’t you have a problem with Russia gobbling-up pieces of its neighbors? Just looking for some consistency . . . .
Good rant.
The EU is desperate to bring Ukraine into their fold for economic reasons, but the EU and their sponsors / creators might as well be the Fourth Reich, based on who they’ve supported in the past. The ethnic Russians understand this and are wise to reject it. They’re too smart (and experienced) to fall for the dumbed-down propaganda coming from the globalist EU puppet masters, trying to seduce them to join the dark side.
I wonder if Putin contracted Blackwater to find the biggest idiots among American mercs and send them to send to Ukraine to lead Kiev army into demise.
Any PC gamer would fare better. Over 200 Kiev tanks destroyed so far, (no infantry to protect them), 10,000 KIA, 7000 MIA....encirclement after encirclement, it is unreal.
Blackwater could advertise it's services as scrap metal disposal "We'll scrap client's hardware in a year or less."
My guess too.
And how do you know that "most support the Russian position"? This is what the Russians want people to believe because they tell the Russians what it is they support or do not support. Actually, the Maidan was made up of native Russian speakers as well as Ukrainians, Poles, Jews. The first guy to be shot by the Berkut was, in fact, from Afghanistan.
Furthermore, Pew, other polls and international groups have polled the folks in the East and the South. They also had an official election. All of the data shows that separatism is supported only by a minority of people. And these same people are either the poorest of the poor, or straight out Communists, hence the abundance of Soviet imagry.
So what do you have that disproves all of that? Your faith?

This, yet again, raises the question of who is really in charge of the Ukrainian military.
The Nat Guard and the Oligarch militias are getting most of the supplies, but don’t answer to the Military command, rather to an actual NAZI, Parubiy.
It really is a testament to the Ukrainian propaganda machine that, despite all of its military losses, it appears to be winning (and all of the rebels’ leaders appear to be tucking tail and running for the border).
Still no tweets from any of the Western Journos with the aid convoy, since the vehicle crossing report two hours ago.
Twitter reports of a BIG fight going on right now, North of Lugansk, with heavy casualties.
Kiev trying one last time, to take Lugansk before the Russian Convoy gets there??
A different view of Ali vs Frazier here:
I feel a little dizzy.
Now the OSCE is demanding that one the Nazi battalions be disbanded.
“OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine has once again reported about Ukrainian Ministry of Defenses volunteer battalion abducting villagers in the Luhansk region, SMMs most recent report states.
The SMM learnt about cases of detention of two villagers in the Luhansk region. The head of Starobilsk police told the SMM that investigations had confirmed that soldiers from the 24th Battalion, a volunteer battalion under the control of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, was responsible for the abduction of the villagers, as well as their detention, the report published on the OSCE website says.
In a meeting with the Ukrainian military commander of the security operation, the SMM was told that the military general staff had been visiting the area in order to assess further involvement of the 24th Battalion. The findings had not been revealed so far.
SMM added that their interlocutor said that in his view, the 24th Battalion ought to be disbanded, reformed and redeployed.

The 24th is the “Karkhiv” Nat Guard (Nazi) battalion
Are you pining for Texas? You may be, after the people there, recently moved in from across the Rio Grande, vote to side with Mexico. Then what?
The Russians living in the Ukraine who wish to be part of Russia simply need to move BACK to Russia, not carve out a piece of the historic Ukraine to give to the Russians.
