It was his neighborhood and he was 2 minutes from home in the middle of the day.
It sounds like I don’t have to explain it to you. You know what’s up. You can only be 1 minute from home in those neighborhoods and be hanging around with the wrong element. I don’t go into them without packing heat and never after dark. And I only go whenever I have to and that’s usually only when I have to interview and take statements. I’ve been in neighborhoods where most white men would never tread and I’ve seen them in Section 8 housing, unemployed and sitting on the porches smoking marijuana and crack out in the open giving you that “I know you’re tha Man” look. I’ve learned to have a deadpan unemotional look and show no fear because that’s what will get you killed. It really is like being in the jungle in those neighborhoods. There is a rule and if you’re white and don’t follow it, it can be fatal. Don’t go there at night because that’s when the bad people are out and about and they will kill you if they think you’re “tha Man” and interfering with their illicit activities.
I'm pretty sure I saw it mentioned that he was just "visiting" his grandmother for the summer, so technically, it was not his neighborhood. His neighborhood would be wherever he stays with his mother and stepfather, I would think. Not that it matters, other than the fact that the cop may or may not have known him. We just don't know the details yet. But rest assured, this incident will be played and replayed and discussed and speculated on ad nauseam for the next year or so.
Meanwhile, the illegal southern border invasion continues. The Middle East continues to devolve into chaos. And the US economy continues to head toward total collapse. What we need is more diversions and distactions.
