It looks like the US won't have to launch a mass evacuation of Iraqis trapped on a mountain after all. A small team of American military personnel who spent 24 hours on Mount Sinjar said US airstrikes seem to have done the trick—most of the trapped Yazidis who wanted to flee to safety have done so, reports the New York Times. As a result, defense chief Chuck Hagel said a rescue mission is "far less likely now," reports AP.

Bullshit, I don’t believe a stinking word out of the medias mouth(and that includes FOX). They can say what they want, but the fact is they are going to SPIN for Obama saving the day. This whole airstrikes against ISIS stinks, and I am POSITIVE that Obama is involved in something more sinister.
Iran didn’t want ISIS in there, maybe we turn our head for Iran while they build their nukes, we bomb ISIS. Win/win. Something is going on here, a backroom deal was cut, and it is in our enemies best interests. I’m certain of it.

According to this report there were fewer of them than expected, only a few thousand, and many didn’t want to leave since their homes were nearby. This is a pretty big change from earlier reports.

You are dreaming, my FRiend. Iraqi armor, in the first Gulf War, was intact after more than a month of sustained bombing. In the case of one Iraqi battalion, it ceased to exist after 15 minutes in contact with an American tank force. Boots on the ground is what gets the job done.
