ISIS is, or should be, a listed enemy of the state. To the best of my knowledge ISIS has not been recognized by the US as a sovereign state, nor has the US Congress declared war on ISIS.
Granted these are a nasty bunch of guys and we should do something about them but first we should have an act of Congress authorizing military action.
Obama at the very least should be following the actions required by the War Powers Act.

Nice response...
Discount me as a moron...
Hey DB, as far as I'm concerned, we're all FRiends here. But equating flag-flying with treason is nonsense.
Treason is not done in the light of day, but is more like betrayal: "to lead astray; deceive."
In other words, treason is attempted under the cover of darkness, not at the top of a flagpole.

I will take the ISIS flag, and other similar Islamic black flags, as a banner proclaiming the intent to murder me and to rape my children. That type of speech is in the same categorey as standing in the street and screaming that same intent at my home.
Islamic black flags should be ripped down, but to be fair about it, we should declare war on Islam first.

We all have the right to burn the American flag. Likewise, we retain the right to receive a good a$$whipping.

Yes you can. We had a guy on our street that had a “collection” of Nazi paraphernalia. When he’d get really drunk he’d put out the Nazi flag, taking down his American flag. Later, that flag would come down and he’d go around telling everyone he was sorry. Until he got really drunk again.

I think you have the right to fly any flag you want.
However, I think that you should not complain about what may come your way by doing so.
The time has come that the current mindset “can’t we all just get along” has destroyed this country.

If so, then why don’t we have the right to fly the Cofederate flag?

Or would you be dumb enough to fly the Nazi flag during the 1940’s?

Btw, I was born mid 60’s and don’t know anything about coffee houses of that era.
Funny, I was talking to my Mom the other day and remarked that when they were talking about “pot” on the news, in the late 60’s, early 70’s, I was confused and thought it odd they were discussing the toilet.
Seemed like a weird subject for the news....

That flag is advocating the violent overthrow of the US government and should be taken as an intent of violence and acted on accordingly.

No. Treason is still a crime and the crimes against humanity being practiced by that group qualifies those who support it as against the will of this country.

I am all for freedom of speech and the responsibilities that entails. One of those responsibilities is to accept the reaction of ones peers. Besides I am not the government, I have nothing to do with the suppression of free speech, just a personal opinion about that speech.

That’s not even a hard question. The swatstika is banned because it’s a symbol of genocide. So is the ISIS flag.

I dont know, should you have the Right to wear a KKK outfit when you go Shopping at Walmart in South Central?People do have a right to be an idiot. Of course, that's not free from consequences, which is what most people in that category want it to be. It's interesting that a lot people screaming they want their rights protected really mean they want to be protected from the consequences of their poor choices.
