As a military officer, I administer re-enlistment oaths to enlisted and advancement oaths to officers. Enlisted personnel take an oath to obey the orders of the president, officers do not. The founding fathers believed that military officers would be the last people to defend the constitution in the face of tyranny. Officers only take an oath to defend the constitution.

That’s because officers don’t reenlist. We take the same oath when commissioned and it is for life. Wonder how much this so-called military officer knows?
