Ignorance in that part if the world is astounding. In S Africa, tho not reported, having sex with a girl of 6 years would cure aids. Heard that first hand in a coffee shop in Durban. The person telling me this was dead serious.
Well I kind of agree with you. 30,000 to 40,000 Americans per year die from the regular flu. Nobody is freaking out about it.

You would think so, but it’s not the reality on the ground in the countries with Ebola. Culture and customs, mixed with a good dose of fear and lack of understanding of basics (such as hygiene, etc.) can result in some situations (like this) that WE have a hard time understanding. Bottom line, it’s a lot of suffering and tragedy for our fellow human beings.
It’s almost like thinning the herd of the weakest members.
