There is nothing in that article saying anything about injuries and the chief has spoken several times and has not said that the officer was injured.
But thanks for this little bit:

8 times might mean that he has blisters on his trigger finger.
Just about every post you make is against law and order and in favor of the thugs and druggies. Why is that?
That the officer was not injured doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have been had he not done what he did.
We don’t know what happened between the deceased and the officer who deceased him.
What we do know is a whole lotta idiots are doing a whole lot of evil which is in no way connected to nor justified by the initial shooting.
