Why should they? It's far easier for them to now decry our involvement in Iraq than it is to defend our actions which they likely supported 11 years ago.........
wow...they are our allies and many of our troopers lost their lives helping that nation.
England and France and the US are involved in bringing stabilization in the north Iraq area. All are non-muslim countries but all, including Turkey, are NATO members.
It just shows that Turkey cannot be relied on in our upcoming fight against the caliphate.
This isn't a matter of individual character. This is about the nation. If you want to be a part of it, you must recognize that our unity is our strength and put aside petty concerns.
We have always stood for the oppressed. We are not who we are unless we do that.
Sitting atound self-righteously back-biting is a sure way to lose our country.
That's a first principal. Everything follows from that.
Who cares?
We do not need them in order to save the people on the mountain.
When I joined this site, there was a unity here that would have unanimously supported your statement..........
I know. Then 911 happened. Did you know it was only 3 days after that that the radical left organized for destruction? International Answer came into existence 9/14/2001.
Long past time to get priorities right.
Tuck Furkey. Kick ‘em out of NATO.
What a stupid idea. Got a reason?
You know they are sending a flotilla to Gaza, right, and have done it before.
Do you want NATO to be forced to fight Israel on behalf of Turkey?
Prove it. Be specific and provide documentation AND explain it simply in your own words. If you got links, post them.
technical point, the yazidis (who ever even heard of them before last week) aren’t “Christians”
They are dying because they aren’t muslims but that doesn’t mean they are Christians
after the yazidis it will be other non mulims or “apostates” meet the same barbarism- especially the shia
so what kind of “rescue” mission do you propose sport?
F-18’s are not a strategy
I have no “problem” with the troops who were ordered into war by Bush and who went and served. They served and many died. In vain.
I have a problem with obama biden and kerry as the current command authority. We all should.
I served 22 military years in the preceding generation. Thanks to American politicians 2 million Vietnamese and Cambodians died after my service, which was also in vain.
Now I “sit home” because I am too old to serve. Not that I would serve Obama. But I have a voice and I have the right to use it whether I serve or I sit at home
The potential horse I have in this race is my children and I will not sacrifice them to the same brain-dead america-hating political class ordering them to serve in a nonwinnable conflict to “save” people who hate America, as they have done for the past 50 years.
Sending US troops to Iraq this time is not about morality, Yazidis or Christians, it is about obama’s poll numbers as the decisions he and the democrats made about Iraq bear fruit. Before elections.
Such unfortunate timing. Genocide is such bad PR for sitting presidents. Clinton was able to ignore Rwanda genocide (shh, not even use the word) when hutu slaughtered Tutsi before his elections. where was the rescue force? obama not so lucky
There 700,000 yazidis. Let their men join the kurds and fight for their own families
where is the UN on this? Too busy lambasting Israel to even comment and we are with the UN
