Lost our 33 year old nephew to suicide several years ago. Not drugs or alcohol, just an inability to deal with life’s trials. Of suicide, he once said that it was his “constant companion.” Shocked me to my inner core, broke my heart.

The idea of suicide may be the “companion” the individual controls opposed to the depression that otherwise controls the individual.
Condolences.
