The news would be if a tea party dem defeated the gov in the primary. I guess the tea party is not active there.

that is the news, tho. Not that the MSM will ever admit that the TEA Party principles have influenced both the Rep and Dem parties.

Ige’s election seems to show a swing to the conservative side and may dampen secession fever, which Abercrombie championed. Conservative Reps and Dems have 4 years to focus on keeping that pendulum swinging to the Right. Four more years of Abercrombie would have been as disasterous as re-electing Jerry the Moonbeam Brown will be to California.
