A former Prince Georges County teacher won a $350,000 jury award after accusing the school system of discriminating against him because he is white.
Jon Everhart alleged in his lawsuit against the Prince Georges County school board that a black principal forced him out of his job because of his race.
Justice was served, Everhart said. I do feel as though I have been vindicated.
Everhart, 65, speaking by phone from Ohio after the verdict in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, said he faced years of racial harassment from the Largo High School principal, who he said repeatedly told staffers and students that she planned to fire him.
She called me poor white trash and white b----, Everhart said of the principal, Angelique Simpson-Marcus, who leads the 1,100-student school in Upper Marlboro. Her behavior was so outlandish.

I “she” still employed by the school?
Some black hate whites for the color of their skin....
Yep. Prince George County is the wealthiest black county, per household income, in the United States. Mostly well-paid government employees all living adjacent to D.C. Oh well,so much for being deprived and being discriminated against due to white racism..no, wait.
I think it is one of the ten wealthiest counties in the US.
Lots and lots of government bow wows...
Change that many and you’d be right.
yeah I am always shocked by the sullen looks I get from total strangers who I have done nothing to except exist while white
It seems that in my area we have two groups of black people, those who seem to love everyone and are extremely pleasant to deal with and those who can’t stand the sight of a white person, scowling and looking like a dark cloud all the time. Overt racism seems to be far more common in blacks now than in whites in South Carolina.

For many of them, it doesn’t change their racial hatred; they know they are working workfare jobs, and they know they only have them as tokens. That eats them up inside...

There is no solution to such tribal hatred; I just make sure my children know it is there (so they aren’t naïve victims of a shooting or robbery because nobody will have an honest discussion about race).
The shakedown revs will be there shortly to see this is resolved in favor of the principal.
Cain’t hav no’s white man disrespect’in a black.
I don’t think it “eats them up inside”. They believe their paper pushing, 30 hour a week, 4 weeks vacation a year job is essential and feel superior as a result.

Yep, lots of luxury cars driving around in PeeGee County. But the media refuses to cover the level of government funded affluence. Just sayin...
Affirmative actions can’t be fired, they may be given higher positions, but they can’t be fired. She is an affirmative action. So, yes, unless she has been moved to a higher position, she is still employed by the school.
It does when they deal with their people, but they know when they are around real “makers” that they don’t understand many of the words they hear or things discussed.
Sad, really; nobody was honest with them giving them unearned diplomas, degrees, jobs, or promotions, yet they see a stark contrast between themselves and others...
PG county is the dregs.
