$5million a week is 2/3 of a thousandth of a percent of his fortune.
It is NOT a zero sum game. Good for him. Just because he has doesn’t mean I don’t or can’t/
here is an article about a billionaire who bought a yacht company. He views it as a job engine.
“Some are begrudging his success. Serious class envy. He earned it...aint capitalism grand?”
Totally agree! What is sad is that here on FR I had to get to post 10, before I saw your sensible post.
What work is he vacationing from?
Is this to give cover to the Obama entourage in MV?
In case anyone forgot how dangerous these yachts can be.

Savings from the recent 18K layoff should make his vacation more affordable.
Just think how many people have jobs and an income because of his spending.
He is a self made man — why begrudge him his success.

Probably could have rented Tiger’s “Privacy” for less.
Did see Paul Allen’s boat, about the size of a light cruiser while it was going repairs in Ft Lauderdale. What a ship.

I’m assuming that nobody knows I’m worth 50 billion.
Americans used to look up to millionaires as people who had “made it”. As more and more people realize that they’ve lost their jobs so certain millionaires can become billionaires, the relationship has soured. Gates has destroyed the tech field for many Americans invested time and money to work in the field, and then turns around (after threatening to send jobs overseas if he can’t import more Asian coolies) and complains that American students don’t go into tech anymore.
Why shouldn’t people find that insulting to say the least? I don’t see general resentment against rich people on FR; I see anger towards certain individuals who’ve been exposed as unelected overlords who play a large role in our economic future.
See # 35; India and Red China should be building shrines to him, but don’t expect Americans to worship him anymore. They used to, and then he gave those jobs to Asians.
Sorry, that tall guy with the oar is deceased.
And loves Common Core and the Islamification of America while he lives abroad in the bubble...

It’s what he did AFTER he got it that we don’t care for...
Too expensive to feed. Of course with Obamnisty, instead of feeding them you just throw the lot overboard and get a new bunch.
