A suspected Ebola patient was on Friday night isolated at an ambulance at Kenyas biggest referral facility, the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), IN Nairobi.
However, reports from the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) where the blood was taken for sampling indicate that no result has come out.
Kenyas unpreparedness against ebola, that is currently ravaging West Africa, has been put into question with Doctors saying that the country lacks the wherewithal to deal with the deadly infection.
There are only two major referral facilities in Kenya, the Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi and the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret, but they all lack isolation wings.
There are calls for the Kenya Airways to cancel flights to West Africa like other major airlines in the continent, but authorities say adequate measures have been taken to avert it.

Don’t Fear The Reaper....
Great, “Isolated in an ambulance”? Wait till all those savages rip the corpse apart and throw it into the streets, because it’s bad voodoo. The Walking Dude must be levitating two feet of the ground on Route 66.
Spreading around Africa fairly well so far...what have we got for new countries? Nigeria. Morocco, and now possibly Kenya.
And here I sit eating breakfast in Zambia, looking across the river at Zimbabwe. A little nervous about it.
I have four dear, dear friends leaving Monday for Kenya for 11 days to teach at a Pastor’s conference. Praying for protection for their physical and spiritual health, and praying that this report proves NOT to be what is suspected!
I just hope the windows are rolled up!
Are you referring to trash can man and the wolves? The arrogant queer guy that thinks he is gonna be the ruler of Las Vegas? Least favorite scene.
If it is Ebola, the hospital workers, and anyone else that have been in contact with this guy are screwed. Being Kenya if the guy has Ebola then I doubt they have tracked the people down that came into contact with him/her. They are all out there coughing and sweating all over everywhere.
Why hasn’t there been any news out of west Africa lately? Total media blackout it seems. Is it under control, or is it spreading? Seems like it’s spreading, and likely out of control. I’ve been saying since it started all it takes is someone with a light cough, and fever to get on an airplane. They rub their hand to their snotty nose and go to the bathroom. Anyone that goes in gets it. On transatlantic flights, people have to use the restroom. Then you have all those people transferring and going through the airport and spreading it around.
Ping...
I think I would find me some better scenery.
Fear is turning to panic and they are going to be looking for someone to blame.
Whites, westerners, foreigners, anyone not black African is going to be the scape goat first then they will turn on each other.

Unless one has no way to get out of Africa, I can see any good reason to stay there.
The Ebola patients just sorta wandered out into the courtyard to mingle with the others...
Said the local journalist: Everybody left. They had suspected Ebola patients in a holding room that is not well equipped. They are normally kept there before they are taken to Foya. In the process of doing that, those suspected patients left their wards and stating entering the children's ward and other places while they were vomiting and releasing feces at the same time. Based on that the entire hospital staff all left including the doctors and nurses. Up to now they have not gone back to work.
According to the article, they also were wandering around the community and going into people's homes. Dear Lord.. this is the stuff of nightmares.

BA ended their Zambia route recently and KLM is ending theirs in October
Yet some people, even some FReepers, think that we are morally required to send a private jet to any third world disease pit and bring back any American Ebola, and bring their disease-garden bodies back to America so they can vomit, poop and bleed out all over American hospitals here.

I guess the staff showed up to work, saw the risk and turned around. Lord help eveybody there.
