they ought not be allowed to roam freely on less than several acres of secluded land - certainly not in a subdivision with a homeowner’s association.

I would welcome 4 chickens in my subdivision......I don't see what the big deal is.

They certainly can't be any more problem than a half dozen free ranging squirrels..........

Where I live, the coyotes would be thrilled to find some free range chickens...emphasis on “free”, as in “free meal”!
