The New York Times seemed to have caught the Pentagon by surprise this evening when it issued a breaking news alert about American forces bombing two targets in Iraq.
The Pentagon firmly denied that American forces had begun a bombing campaign. But Pentagon officials said it was possible that allies of the United States, either the Iraqi or Turkish militaries, had conducted the bombing.

Seems that the Turks would have common cause with ISIS.
Neither like the Kurds or Israel.

I had the same thought. It would also be nice if the Saudis stepped up.

I had seen an article earlier stating that the US was conducting air strikes in Iraq. Then it seemed to disappear.
Wonder what the truth is ?

Iraq indicated it would use its Air force to help the Kurds earlier today.
The Russians sold and delivered several SU-25 attack aircrafts to the Iraqis as well.

The Saudis have funded the civil war. The Saudis are Sunni and ISSIS is Sunni. Although, Saudi Arabia getting into bed with ISSIS is the same as getting into bed with a cobra. My guess is it’s Israel or Iraq. If the bombs actually hit and make a huge difference, it’s not Iraq.

It is probably the French. Somebody said they saw bombers with white flags painted on the fuselage.

Saudis?
I’m sure you’re not on drugs, but don’t EVER expect help from Saudi in any way.
They cannot even run their own oil facilities and chemical industry without American help while they have had ARAMCO there since WWII.
