I thought that Federal Law required that all official communications within the agency and with other agencies had to be preserved, anyway. An injunction at this point is closing the barn door after the horses are gone, anyway.

Probably true, but a good judge obscuring the behavior of the IRS’s top officials might have issued one anyway just to add extra legal peril for further corruption.

From the article: "But while denying True the Vote’s request for an injunction, Walton still laid down the law Thursday. 'As a result of the filing of this case,' Walton wrote, 'the defendants are now on notice of their obligation to preserve any potentially relevant evidence, and the Court instructs the defendants to comply with that obligation.'"

Utterly disgusting, but expected by the EXEMPT.

but protects the corrupt from you,

Those in DC are all on the same page and corruption and law breaking by IRS officials be damned because they know the IRS is the life blood of the US government. It will not be manipulated or controlled just to comply with some investigation by congress supposedly trying to ferret out the very corruption and lawlessness those in congress are surreptitiously complicit in covering up. Issa and others huff and puff but the theatrics of good cop bad cop plays on. Obviously the courts also do as they are told, don’t they Judge Walton and Justice Roberts.

The Same Reasoning, which will induce you to admit all Men, who have no Property, to vote, with those who have, for those Laws, which affect the Person will prove that you ought to admit Women and Children: for generally Speaking, Women and Children, have as good Judgment, and as independent Minds as those Men who are wholly destitute of Property: these last being to all Intents and Purposes as much dependent upon others, who will please to feed, cloath, and employ them, as Women are upon their Husbands, or Children on their Parents.

Depend upon it, sir, it is dangerous to open So fruitfull a Source of Controversy and Altercation, as would be opened by attempting to alter the Qualifications of Voters. There will be no End of it. New Claims will arise. Women will demand a Vote. Lads from 12 to 21 will think their Rights not enough attended to, and every Man, who has not a Farthing, will demand an equal Voice with any other in all Acts of State. It tends to confound and destroy all Distinctions, and prostrate all Ranks, to one common Level.

Judge Reggie B. Walton is a Judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, which rubber stamps all domestic surveillance, almost never refusing it. Also the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

“During the 25 years from 1979 to 2004, 18,742 warrants were granted, while just four were rejected. During the next eight years, from 2004 to 2012, there were over 15,100 additional warrants granted, with an additional seven being rejected.”

Just FYI, Reggie Walton is a very good judge. He’s been praised on these boards before and will be again. He doesn’t have to make every ruling to your liking to be a “good judge.”

True the Vote might want to look into this:

DEMOCRAT DURBIN'S LOIS LERNER CONNECTION IRS disgrace, Lois Lerner, once held a position at the Federal Election Commission. She was helpful to Senate candidate Dick Durbin (Dem-Ill). Lerner used her FEC position to help save Durbin’s US Senate seat back in 1996. Lerner used her govt position and tax dollars to conduct a bogus inquisition into Durbin's opponent for alleged election law violations ....creating a shady charge against Durbin's opponent. And it worked. Dicky triumphed and was returned to the Senate.

Fast forward to 2014---Dicky Durbin's running again---considered a shoo-in. But he should start worrying. As far back as 2008, at the presidential debate in Nashville, candidate Obama advanced his signature plan that was ultimately enacted (by an historic straight Democrat party-line vote) into the "Affordable Care Act:

QUOTING OBAMA: "No. 1, let me just repeat, if you’ve got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it. All I’m going to do is help you to lower the premiums on it. You’ll still have choice of doctor.” Repeated over and over ---- with the "presidential promise" that every American would be saving $2500.00 on healthcare costs.

SEN. RICHARD DURBIN SALUTES SMARTLY: “We Democrats believe — and we stand by this — if you like your current health insurance plan, you will be able to keep it, plain and simple, straightforward.” (Sen. Durbin, Congressional Record, S.6401, 6/10/09)

VOTERS HAVE NOT SEEN SUCH LOCK-STEPPING PARTY LOYALTY SINCE 1930-40's ERA EUROPE

============================================

DURBIN SUCKS-UP Back in June, Durbin whined that a year has passed since he and his fellow Democrats Senators passed a sweeping immigration reform bill (that included hundreds of millions of dollars for La Raza, and exempted latino office-holders from US laws for committing crimes in office). Durbin said. "And (if Republicans don't respond), the president will borrow the power that is needed to solve the problems of immigration."

And this week, Durbin said: "More Needs To Be Done To Help Child Immigrants at the border"
reported by cbslocal.com ^ | August 3, 2014 / FR Posted by Tailgunner Joe

SEPARATION OF CHURCH ANDD STATE, ANYONE? Durbin assured the Illinois Latino community they will not turn their backs on children who are fleeing a dangerous situation. “We are here today at Fiesta Del Sol. This is a Mass dedicated to the Dreamers. The action that was taken by the U.S. House of Representatives on Friday was reprehensible. This idea of calling for the deportation of these young men and women is cruel,” Durbin said.

Durbin says more should be done to help children crossing the border into the U.S. on their own. “These are young men and women who have come to the United States not by their own choice, who have lived here, they have lived in the United States and now they are asking for a chance to prove themselves.”
