Former U.S. intelligence contractor Edward Snowden has received a three-year residence permit from Russia, his Russian lawyer told reporters on Thursday.

I still find Snowden’s thought train so funny: “I’m furious about SPYING, so I’m going to flee to... CHINA AND RUSSIA!” ;)
I’ve been growing more sympathetic to Snowden over time, as many of his revelations turn out to be true.
That said, I look at the timing of this permit as another Putin counter-sanction. “In yo’ face, homeboy Obama.”
It’s too bad the GOP won’t stand up to Obama.
The Establishment GOP is too prissy to fight dirty.
They get dirty fighting conservatives.
