Obama's Approval Rating Has Hit All-Time Low, And Confidence In The Future Of America Has Collapsed

Joe Weisenthal
August 5, 2014

A new poll from WSJ/NBC finds a high level of dissatisfaction with the president, the U.S. political system, and the economy, and a stunning number of respondents see a grim future for their children.

Just 40% of respondents approve of the job President Obama is doing, a level which matches an all-time low. On the matter of foreign policy — which is in the news a lot lately due to Russia, Ukraine, Iraq, and Gaza — the President's approval is at a mere 36%, also at an all-time low.

And though the stock market remains close to record highs, while unemployment has dropped considerably, there's still widespread pain being felt economically. 64% of respondents still say they're feeling the effects of the economic collapse, and nearly half believe the economy is still in recession.

But perhaps the worst stat shows the extent to which Americans have lost faith in the future of the country.

Somehow I don’t think he really cares. Polls and voter sentiment are meaningless in a transformed America.

Socialism never works. Socialism is the ultimate dream for elitists - everyone ‘equal’ under them.

The only confidence in America Obama has ever had is if there were more mosques then Starbucks.

When does blame equal accountability?

As long as the Republican Leaders in the US House refuse to hold Obama accountable and punish Obama, Obama will continue to cash in AND SPEND the endless supply of blank checks that Speaker Boehner freely gives Obama.

As long as Speaker Boehner refuses to punish Obama by appointing a Special House Prosecutor, Obama will continue his very successful campaign to “Fundamentally Transform the United States of America.”

Boehner has cowardly chosen to shirk his Constitutional Duty by transferring his unique authority to the Courts, who then will quickly reject it due to ruling on it would be a Constitutional Violation of Separation of Powers.

Boehner may continue to make yet another do-nothing, fiery speech about “we must make sure that this never happens again,” to which the grateful members of the MUSLIM DEMOCRAT BROTHERHOOD Party, such as Reid, Holder; Lerner, and Jarrett will always say:

“OBAMA ACKBAR!”

The confidence in Obama has not collapsed nearly far enough to bring back confidence in America.

Yeah, I don’t see it ever dropping below 40%. Those are the people who love him because of his race even though we are the “racists” and they hear about free stuff and their ears perk up. They care nothing about our country. Wait until all of the “newcomers” to the U.S. end up getting all of the freebies these people thought THEY were going to get. Then again, that will be “Bush’s fault”. We’ve seen this script enough times to know it will never change.

.......you make some very good points but I believe the biggest thing Boehner has done against the interests of the American People is to not lead the way in exercising the house of representatives constitutional duty to guard the American Treasury! It’s called “power of the purse”.

I don’t know whether his complete failure to not fund the Democrats spending bills is due to connivance with the democrats, he’s paid off, blackmail or just plain cowardice, but it is one of em or perhaps all of em!!

But perhaps the worst stat shows the extent to which Americans have lost faith in the future of the country.

76% — an all-time high — are skeptical that their children will have a better life.

Check out the tag.

Obama is doomed and seniors like me are doomed. But, this country has a bright future. For the time being, Obama and my generation of seniors are holding America back, but we won’t be doing that much longer. ;-)

Agree. This is as low as he’ll go. Blacks will blame all of Obama’s problems on racism. He’s got the gays, the feminazis, the NY/LA libtards.

There’s still that 40% that blame Congress, George W. Bush, bad weather, bad luck, anything and anybody except Obama for the crappy state of our economy and country.

First time around I thought Obama was the Affirmative Action president. After we elected the black Jimmy Carter, and then re-elected him...

Obama is proof of Stockholm Syndrome. America post 9/11 went into Stockholm Syndrome to muzzies and still isn’t out of it yet.

Mrs. RQSR, and myself looked at that chart, and wonder how Obama could possibly legitimately have won reelection in 2012.

Looks like validation of the fraud argument to us.

Doom and gloom.

Ronald Reagan once said Americans needed a choice. He said something about bold colors instead of pale pastels. I see opportunity. Back in 2008, when Obama worship was at an all time high, I told those around me that at some point, this guy is going to fall. You see, God has a way of humbling the arrogant. That day,my friends is now. I know, too many low info voters, a GOP that seems more eager to fight it’s base, and a media in the tank for the Democrats. All that can be overcome. Because,at one time, another candidate faced the same obstacles. That candidate didn’t believe America was finished. He believed our best days were yet to come. And that candidate was not afraid to define liberalism to the American public. He went on to win two electoral landslides.

The fact is, BHO is failing. More people see it and the hope and change he ran on has now become a sarcastic punch line to increasing numbers of people. The dirty little secret is 2016 is the GOP’s to lose

Anyone who voted for Hussein in 1008 deserves ridicule.

Anyone who voted for Hussein in 2012 deserves contempt.
