The “GOPe” is a result of the leftward swing of the electorate. The only way we’ll get Conservatives elected again is to win the electorate over to Conservative values.
The GOPe is a party completely controlled by corporate special interests. They are for sale to the highest bidder.
They have absolutely no interest in serving their constituents.
They throw red meat around election time to try to get voters to the polls instead of annunciating coherent message.
And how do we do that when, more and more, the electorate is of the low-information, "don't know, don't care" mindset? In order to convert (de-program) the 50-and-unders, who are going to be running this nation for the next 50 years, we first have to reach them with our message. How do we do that? How do we get their attention, then hold it long enough to educate them?
There is an answer, but I'm just curious if you know what it is.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Agreed. I believe, though I do not want it to be so, is that the USA has steadily moved leftward as the 60s punks gradually took over all the institutions that inculcate civic values. What many Freepers do not understand is that we are a splinter and fading minority. The electorate in the aggregate has proven repeatedly that they want a bigger more intrusive government.
Like I said, it is not what I want, but I look around and it is what I see. Given that, there simply is no longer any political option for reclaiming the nation.
The GOPe is a result of the leftward swing of the electorate. The only way well get Conservatives elected again is to win the electorate over to Conservative values.
No, the GOPe is the result of Conservatives “holding their noses” and supporting the GOPes “perfumed Princes.”
Whenever a Republican with Conservative values and a Conservative message enters the scene the base is energized. The GOPe responds by squashing the Conservative.
I don’t see the party recovering from the Mississippi event without a purge.
