I told you in post #61 that he has been in the Senate since 1997, not 1967. This was one of the falsehoods spread by the Wolf campaign.
Pat Roberts was in the House 1981- 1997 (16 years) plus another 21 years in the Senate for a total of 37 years. If he wins in November, he will be in office for 43 years. He is 78 years old now. How long do we need these people feeding at the public trough?
After Keith Sebelius announced his retirement, Roberts took his seat in 1981. So Roberts has been in Congress as a staffer, representative, and senator since 1967 for a total of 47 years. Add four years in the USMC, and you have someone who has been on the federal payroll for 51 years.
