[Watch] Dr Ben Carson – A Mistake To Bring Ebola Patients, Virus to US
gopthedailydose.com ^ | 8/4/14 | Rick Wells

Posted on 08/04/2014 6:16:28 PM PDT by Nachum

Dr. Ben Carson describes Ebola as a “terrifying disease.” He says that if it is left untreated the fatality rate is 90%; with treatment we can get that down to 50% or better.

He says he is “a little concerned that we are bringing it back here.” We have the ability to treat it in other places. It is transmitted through bodily fluids and can survive for at least several days outside of the host. Why risk an accident that leads to spreading when we can send experts elsewhere?

He said we could send a plane or equip a part of a hospital, utilizing our greater expertise and exporting it to a more safe location for treatment.

Dr. Carson says he certainly would treat it where it is and not bring it into the United States. He agrees that the danger is very real, that all that is required for a spread is a minor infraction of procedures and all of a sudden you’ve got more spread.

I just watched him with Shannon Bream. I didn’t catch anything other than his views on war, which sounded naive at best. I was quite surprised - Shannon actually pointed out the difference between Israel and Hamas very well. She sounded a little taken aback by his comments as well.

My fear is that Obama will agree to bring over other Ebola patients from Africa as a “humanitarian gesture” so they can receive the kind of treatment that is unavailable in their own country. Of course, anyone who objects will be demonized as insensitive, uncaring, and racist.

Carson is anti-Obama. That is good. But he is also pro-amnesty, and that is something a conservative should never support.

Yes.

he is already spreading central American diseases, but African ones are so much more exotic and interesting.

Ebola will remind him of home.

Ebola, border a mess, health care a mess, what could go possibly wrong?

I would like to know what happens to those who survive ebola. Will they be immune from future infection, as with measles, or will the virus be dormant, as with chicken pox?

Given the level of immediate improvement they achieved upon receiving the new serum, and the level of containment for the patients, I believe we’ll find the risk to the American is extremely small.

The government types seem to think that they are absolutely 100% sure that they can contain this virus. LOL! God help us if they are wrong. If Ebola escapes that hospital, it is out for good on this continent. Lots of people will die.

What difference does it make? You know they are heading for our southern border.

I think your fears are completely legitimate. Look what he’s done, so far.

Who would’ve thought - even during this past *election* - that he would import hundreds of thousands of illegals — from all over the world — on OUR tax dime? Yet, that’s exactly what he’s doing.

Who would’ve ever imagined that our own government would flat out turn our backs on Israel? Yet, that’s what this “White House” and our “Sec’y” of State have done.

And, you’re also spot on that anyone who would object to 0bola bringing these patients in, would indeed, be demonized as insensitive, uncaring and RACIST (their favorite term).

You’re probably closer to the truth, than you know.

Maybe now we know what all of the extra ammo purchases were for...what we could never imagine happening, is unfolding before our eyes.

Unless the serum causes it to mutate into the Zombie Apocalypse.

My school had him as a guest speaker back in 08-09. The next day faculty were outraged they would dare bring in someone who criticized Dear Leader.

Reading a book entitled THE HOT ZONE. True story but reads like Tom Clancy.

No way we should let that virus in the U.S. beyond what we already have for research. If it mutates to airborne, it’ll wipe out 90% of the planet.

Of course, maybe the greenies want that...

"No way we should let that virus in the U.S. beyond what we already have for research. If it mutates to airborne, it’ll wipe out 90% of the planet. Of course, maybe the greenies want that..."

As a matter of fact, they do.

“We’re no better than bacteria!” University of Texas biologist Eric Pianka announced last spring. “Things are gonna get better after the collapse because we won’t be able to decimate the Earth so much,” he added. “And, I actually think the world will be much better when there’s only 10 or 20 percent of us left.” Pianka dreamed that disease “will control the scourge of humanity.” He celebrated the potential of Ebola Reston, an airborne strain of the killer virus, to make Earth nearly human-free. “We’ve got airborne 90 percent mortality in humans. Killing humans. Think about that.”

"Just five hours after Pianka’s March 3 speech to the Texas Academy of Science, which eyewitness Forrest Mims III covered March 31 in the Citizen Scientist, the academy named Pianka its 2006 Distinguished Texas Scientist. Several hundred scientists gave Pianka a standing ovation, Mimms reported." Link

Read the last page or so. The author has a a kooky explanation about viruses such as Ebola. Hint: it’s not just the greenies that want that.
