I presume you are talking about the Solly Hemmings case which lib historians dug up to prove "everybody dunnit" when they tried to hold Bill Clinton accountable.
You didn't hear the rest of the story. Yeah, descendents of Hemmings had common DNA with descendents of Jefferson. Yeah, Thomas Jefferson was a widower at the time. That's probably all you heard.
Further digging showed that Thomas Jefferson was not even home for most of the time period in questions (or even a 8-10 month window thereafter) and his brother, who was taking care of things at home, was the most likely culprit.
So the brother of a president who boinked a slave maiden two centuries earlier was supposed to justify all Clinton's sexcapades in the White House.
