Until the 1960s, most cities had height limits for cops also. If you were not at least 5’ 10”, forget it. They wanted big guys only. No tasers in those days, just billy clubs and big cops.
On the Korean DMZ in 83, the MP’s had to be 6’ or better. The ROK’s had to be black belts alt least. Nowadays when the stakes are high, send girls so you can scream, “Not fair!” or something.
