My daughter knows a girl in HS with “two moms”. She says she loves them, but she is going through a really hard time during her teen angst years wondering who her father is. This girl isn't even against gay relationships, just angry she isn't being told who her father is. I wonder what this will mean for her future relationships. My daughter says she's really “confused”.
My adopted daughter can't know who her bio parents are. This is my other daughter (not in HS) who gets mad that when people can keep records of paternity and meet their bio parents the adult child usually isn't given the choice in the case of a sperm bank. My daughter was abandoned, so she doesn't have the option of meeting bio parents so she feels strongly about this, but assures us she's glad to have a loving mom and dad.
